Project tasks: design of the playground and chess pavilion, participation in the site plan design
A park project in the northern part of Moscow was conceived as an improvement of a forest area in the middle of a housing estate. The essential points to consider were the environment, the residents’ views on the park development and its potential attendance capacity.
A mindful and respectful approach to the natural features of the plot and its landscape, as well as the established network of paths and trails was crucial for the project.
Several changes to the present structure have been proposed: building a new recreational gazebo equipped with a stage, and replacing the old one with a chess pavilion. New objects to be added are a small cafe, a sports zone with a variety of workout equipment and a playing area for Gorodki. The playground has to be further extended and the dog walk moved for the convenience of both dog owners and park visitors.

Before proceeding to the works, key elements of the park structure had to be selected. These were the main and side entrances, a clump of pine trees in the centre, and an improvised chess gazebo, popular with local residents.
