The monument-museum is located on the axis of the former main entrance to the VDNH exhibition area, opposite the famed Montreal pavilion of the USSR at the International Fair of 1967.
The square is separated from the park area with monorail and a motorway, with parking spaces for visitors available at both ends.
The key design principles were to restore the composition symmetry, reinvent the once present small architectural forms and redevelop the routes of pedestrian flows.
