A retrospective exhibition of artist Andrey Bartenev was held in Moscow Museum of Modern Art on Gogolevsky Boulevard, in 2015. The museum space, featuring a symmetrical suite of rooms in the 19th-century mansion, was divided into two blocks according to works chronology.
Works of the 1990s were accommodated in the left wing – with bright, phantasmagorical performance costumes greeting visitors at the start of display and leading them on to the other part of the exhibition. The right wing exhibited the 2000s with the broad-scale installation Say I Love You, as well as graphics, video art and costumes.
